Valenti Whipped Creme Pie

Original Recipe from Angie

*1 box of Jello vanilla INSTANT pudding-  follow directions for pie which
are on the box. (pie directions is use 1 3/4 c. milk instead of 2 cups
for 4 serving size)  MUST BE INSTANT NOT THE KIND YOU HAVE TO COOK.

*about 1-2 cups of COOL WHIP--don't measure, just guesstimate.
I make my own whipped creme with 8-10oz of heavy whipping creme and 1t of vanilla

*2-3 cups minimarshmallows
Never measure :-)

*bananas (2-4 per pie)

*keebler graham cracker crusts
I make my own crust - crushed graham crackers (Trader Joes is the best) sometime I crush hazelnuts in it also.  mix the crushed crackers with 1/4 C of melted butter.  using a fork, tamper the crushed crackers to make the crust.

----------------------------------------------------------
1.  make the pudding using the pie directions. (i use a mixer for this
part).

2. add the coolwhip.  mix together with spoon.

3.  add the minimarshmallows.  i am guessing 2-3 cups.  can't use too
many.  mix.

4.  in the graham cracker crusts cut up 2-4 bananas per crust--depending
on how much you like bananas.

5.  dump the pudding mixture on top of the bananas.

6.  invert the plastic cover of the pie crust.  put in fridge for about
an hour or so to firm up the pie.

7. eat.

-the bananas are only good in the pie for the night you make it and the
next day.  after that, the bananas get really yucky and ruin the pie.  so
you do not want to make this pie too far in advance - definitely the day
of.

-for your b-day pie here the other week, i knew people would not eat 2
pies, so i sliced the bananas for one pie, used 1/2 the mixture and saved
the rest for another  pie on tuesday with fresh banana slices.  tasted
the same as everything fresh!

-btw, there are 2 sizes of graham cracker crusts-regular and extra
serving size and  2 sizes of pudding-4 serving and 6 serving.  you can't
mess up.  i use small pudding with reg. size crust and make 2 pies.   i
use big pudding and make 2 extra serving size pies.  it all depends on
how much topping you put on the pies.  you can use small pudding to make
one extra serving size pie.  the amounts i gave you are for the 4 serving
box.  it is all pretty much by taste.  6 serving pudding would be about
2-3 cups of cool whip and marshmallows to 3-4 cups.

-i think i covered everything.  btw, people think since it is banana pie
then use banana pudding but it is VANILLA INSTANT pudding.  i use skim
milk and it works fine.  i think the pudding box recommends 1% or
greater.

-takes less than 10 mins. to make--kids love to help!
